JJBA: Guido Mista by cogdis JJBA: Guido Mista by cogdis
Guido Mista from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part V: Vento Aureo.

Again, I'm using an existing composition!

This image is just my shot at Mista as he appears in this image/pose: [link]
(I'm pretty sure that image is flipped horizontal from how it appeared as a cover.)

God bless you Hirohiko Araki and your skanky, skanky men!<3<3

I actually prefer this color scheme for him to...whatever one Araki settled on for him (tho all of those were cool too). This scheme sort of anchors him down to our world instead of an acid trip x3. But, I suppose I love it all regardless. Good job :)

I like the idea of color schemes being fluid . . . But I do have a preference for less acid trippiness as you've described, lol! And thanks! :D

For me if a scheme's fluid, it helps in setting up the whole picture. I still need a *lot* of work on dynamic lighting, so consistency in the coloring process helps a lot. But for others they probably don't need that.

Still tho I love how Araki just has so much fun w/ colors, and it's gotten to me now x3.

I think I read a translation of an interview with Araki saying something very similar! That the colors are about what looks good in the whole for him . . . That he's thinking quite a bit about color relationships.

Man, he is so very inspiring. :D

I wish I could remember that interview, but that sounds like him. I'd love to hear him talk about doing linework, b/c I think he does lines raw w/o using pencil. That's amazing.

I'm working on using color as an anchor for mood and feel much more, hoping it goes well. Trying more underpainting might help.
